Biden Signs Executive Order to Protect Abortion Access

We’re heartened by President Biden’s Executive Order today. The loss of abortion rights is a human rights disaster and public health catastrophe. We need the President and the entire administration fully engaged in doing everything in their power to protect access to care. Today’s order is an important first step.
We’re also grateful for President Biden’s work to engage state and local officials in this work. Governors can and should do everything they can to protect abortion access in their states and state legislators must not only oppose laws banning abortion but they must pass state laws guaranteeing everyone the right to real reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy.
