On the Inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris

Today’s inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris brings a new sense of hope for a better future.

It was an emotional reminder both of what we have lost and what is now possible. Decency is replacing cruelty. Competence is replacing chaos. There is much work to be done, and we look forward to working with the Biden-Harris administration to restore U.S. leadership in global reproductive health and human rights.

Today is a day to celebrate the turning of a new page in our history, but it is also a day to begin the hard task of building back better.
